Administration
Administration involves a multitude of duties and skills. We support the staff and team of physicians to create superior service. The Administration Department of Nevada Medical Clinic is here to coordinate the efforts of all departments to make your visit as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
If you have questions or would like just to express an opinion about our service, please contact Sherry Lakeman, Administrator, Sheryl Torres, Business Manager, or Renee Eck, Director of Nursing and Lab Supervisor at (417) 667-6015.
Business Office
The Business Office is equipped to file your charges with your insurance company. We can file a large portion of the claims electronically and thus insure accuracy and timeliness. The physicians at NMC are participating providers with Medicare and Medicaid and a variety of private insurance companies. All insurance can be billed as a courtesy to our patients. Ultimately, the balance is the patient's responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage. It is very important to remember to bring your insurance information with you when seeing the doctor.
Front Office
The front office provides a variety of tasks such as answering incoming calls, message taking, directing calls, greeting patients as they enter the clinic, patient charges, data entry and making sure you get the right doctor in a timely fashion. Customer service is very important to us. Our goal is to help the patient feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible by making sure all information is available to the physician and capturing information necessary to file insurance claims correctly.
Human Resources
Our Human Resource Department was established to take care of personnel issues. Human Resources places all our classified ads for employment positions. They also maintain personnel files on employees and make sure all required paperwork is up to date. All applications are kept on file for one year. After a year, you will need to complete a new application. If you would like to check on job openings or update your application, call 417-667-6015 and ask for the Human Resource Department.
Medical Records
Our Medical Records Department performs several functions. They are responsible for copying patient's records for insurance companies, consulting physicians and surgeons, as well as retrieving files for daily operations and maintaining order in the filing system. Keeping orderly records for speedy access is one of our highest priorities.
Medical Records is responsible for medical releases to other doctors, insurance companies, attorneys and patients. If you need your medical records for another physician, you may complete a release form at the front desk at no cost to you. If you want your medical records for any other reason, there will be a $17.05 processing fee plus $.40 per page. If you are requesting your records for your personal use, the charge is $.40 per page.
Transcription
Like many of our departments, the Transcription Department is part of the support staff at Nevada Medical Clinic. The Transcription Department is responsible for typing and printing dictation related to daily patient visits, typing letters from doctors to patients and to insurance companies, and typing consultation/referrals from the doctors to other facilities. We also transcribe x-rays, memos and any correspondence needed by the doctors.
Nursing
The nurses in the clinic are multi-talented. They perform many tasks which include: offering comfort to sick and injured patients, assisting the doctors with procedures, fielding phone messages and medication refills, taking vital signs and giving injections. Our nurses begin answering the phones at 9:00 AM and have Voice Mail that is answered throughout the day. We hope when you visit one of our caregivers we can make your experience as comfortable as possible.
